What a fantastic ‘Transition Week’.

What a fantastic week it has been getting to know next years Yr 5 class. The children worked so hard on all the tasks they were given. As it was ‘Refugee Week’ we spent some time discussing what that actually means. The children found out about lots of famous refugee’s such as Mo Farah, Anne Frank, Albert Einstein, Paddington Bear and the most important of all Jesus. We also worked on Yr 5’s gospel value which is PEACE. The children created a fantastic display which can be seen in the school hall. In the afternoon we began looking at our script for next year’s Shakespeare in Schools Festival. The children will be performing ‘A Midsummer’s Night Dream’ at the Old Rep Theatre in November. Very exciting times lie ahead for our new Yr 5 class.
