On Monday 10th July Year 4 spent the day with Raj from
Bhangracise.co.uk. During the morning they took part in traditional Indian dancing and an X Factor style drumming competition. In the afternoon outside they made their own Rangoli patterns using coloured sand and glitter paint.
After all the activities they then performed their Bhangra dance and the winners of one of the X Factor groups the “The Punjab Girls” performed their winning act to their parents and carers and also to Year 3. Lastly showing their fabulous artwork to finish the afternoon they told everyone some facts about India.
“I felt happy because everyone joined in the dancing and we, shared lots of facts. My favourite bit when we made the Rangoli patterns and showed them to our parents and carers.”
“I felt nervous at first because there was a big audience then, when we did our performance I wasn’t as nervous and I really enjoyed it.”
