Pupil Premium funding is provided to schools in addition to main school funding. It is allocated according to the number of children in school who are eligible for free school meals (FSM), as well as children who are Looked After (in care) or children of service families. In 2012 funding was extended to include pupils who have been eligible for free school meals at any time they have been at the school – Ever 6.
It is for schools to decide how this funding is spent, since they are best placed to assess what additional provision will help these children at school. However they have to be accountable to how that is spent, so information has to be published on the school website, which you can access below.
The Sports premium is designed to help primary schools improve the quality of the PE and sport activities they offer their pupils. Currently, this funding is used to pay for our Sports Mentors who support the teaching of PE as well providing after-school sport opportunities for our pupils.
